The Minnesota Timberwolves selected Michigan Wolverines point guard Trey Burke with the ninth overall pick of the litter in Thursday night's NBA Draft. There won't be any issues with Burke and Ricky Rubio battling for playing time, but, as it was reported on 

Currently here's a surprise–as if this draft wasn't already full enough of surprises. In a go not a release mock draft that I'm aware of predicted, the Wolves took Michigan's Trey Burke at #9. Currently Burke was a fantastic college player, 

The Utah Jazz have bought Trey Burke in a trade from the Minnesota Timberwolves. Burke was selected with the ninth overall pick of the litter by Minnesota.

It made a ration of fans miserable that the Pistons passed on Trey Burke, many of them college-centric followers who don't watch the NBA or the Pistons much (if you've seen home crowds in recent years, they aren't alone) and viewed the draft myopically.

Anyway, I wasn't pleased Joe Dumars passed on Trey Burke. I reckon in the longrun, Burke will be a better player than Kentavious Caldwell-Pope. But I still don't reckon that Caldwell-Pope was a terrible pick of the litter, and I loved the Tony
