After years of rampant speculation, Brad Stevens has made the jump. And it's not the one you thought. The highly successful Butler University basketball coach has accepted the head coaching position with the Boston Celtics, the school and team announced.

Out of nowhere, the Boston Celtics have tabbed Butler's Brad Stevens to be their next head coach, replacing Doc Rivers. At 36, Stevens will be the NBA's youngest head man.

Brad Stevens turned down UCLA. He turned down NC State. He passed on Miami, Georgia Tech, Maryland, Missouri, Illinois and anyone else that pursued him in the past hardly any years. On Wednesday, though, the Butler head coach made the jaw-dropping go
