American 100-meter record holder Tyson Gay has admitted to testing positive during an out-of-competition test in May. Gay did not reveal what substance he had tested positive for, but he did admit he was told by the U.S. 

Former Arkansas Razorback and United States track star Tyson Gay tested positive for a banned substance and is forced to pull out of next month's World Championships in Moscow.

Tyson Gay has been informed by the USADA that he tested positive for a banned substance this past May.
