LOS ANGELES (KTLA) – The odds of winning are only around 1 in 175000000 00 — but that's not stopping people all across Southern California from racing to buy Powerball tickets.

Nope, you didn't win. There was no Powerball winner in Wednesday night's drawing for the $360 million jackpot, the third-largest prize ever, Sue Dooley, an official with the Multi-State Lottery association said.

LOS ANGELES (KTLA) — With a Powerball jackpot worth more than $600 million dollars, thousands of people lined up at lottery outlets across the city in hopes of buying the winning ticket.

Powerball is played in 43 states as well as in the Virgin Islands and the District of Columbia. People lined up across California to buy tickets, with lottery officials estimating that tickets were selling at a rate of about 1.5 million tickets
