Jeanne Cooper, an player whose 40-year run on "The Young and the Restless" built-in the well-known reveal of her real-life facelift, died Wednesday in Los Angeles. She was 84. Cooper had been hospitalized intermittently in recent weeks for an infection.

"There will permanently be a glimmer left behind by what she stood for," the player' son, Corbin Bernsen, wrote on Facebook after his mother's death.
